ABOUT ME

Alicia mcDonald is a new jersey & New york based actress. A passionate storyteller, she loves to dive headfirst into her characters and take on a wide variety of roles. From the girl next door, to the troubled mean girl, or the sweet ingenue, she takes on every role with utmost commitment and ferocity. Alicia’s recent credits include four feature films: Jersey Birdies (Agnes), Last Summer (Katherine), Demon's Playground (Tiffany), and So Long, Farewell (Kyra). HER Short film credits include Grindhouse (Angela), It Still Burns (the Banshee), and Kirkwood Falls (Riley).

Alicia has trained in acting for both the screen and the stage, working with teachers and coaches like Elizabeth inghram, sam simone, Kristin condon, and stacie lents. She has also trained in shakespeare performance in the u.k. with edward blagrove and gary lewin.

A proud Jersey girl, Alicia was born and raised by the shore. in addition to acting, she writes, produces, and directs her own work under the banner of star-crossed studios. in her own writing, she focuses on telling women-centered stories, often based in her home state. Her feature film last summer, a 90’s coming of age set on the jersey shore, is currently in post-production. her short film kirkwood falls, a 2010 halloween slasher, is in pre-production now.

Outside of acting and filmmaking, alicia spends her time caring for her pet guinea pig pepper, reading mystery novels, doing slasher movie marathons with her little sister, paddleboarding, and travelling.
